Entrepreneurial Blog#3
This week to did a lot of work regarding Magdalena Yesil and her story. She is quite inspiring in terms of the business world and really goes out of her to be the best and most successful version of herself. In my own life, she was very inspiring to me because of how tenacious she was. She really decided at a young age that she wanted to do something and that was exactly what she did. This reminds me a lot of my girlfriend who decided that she wanted to become a neurosurgeon when she was very little. Under the same circumstances as Magdalena, my girlfriend is going into a very male-dominated industry but she chooses to not let that affect her but rather use that as motivation to do her best and become exactly what she wants to. As time goes on I hope to be able to acquire this sense of determination for myself and my own professional business venture.
We also this week did a personal code of conduct that I found quite interesting. In the assignment, we had to list 3 things that we will never do and three things that we will always do. Thinking about this I need to think of the morality of decisions that are being made. One of my least favorite sayings is that you should always look out for yourself and prioritize it under any circumstance. However, to myself, we need to have enough self-respect and selflessness to often if not always put others above ourselves. However, under circumstances we may not be able to live up to this all the time we should always be striving and putting an effort into doing this in any way. As I continue to grow as a person I hope to keep this code of ethics with me.
